Many assault victims are told to simply “get over it.” There is a big publicity case about a performer who allegedly hurt several dates over the years and they kept it quiet for some reason or another. I heard that sexual assault crisis centres in Canada have had a sudden increase in sexual assaults since this performer’s activities became public. These posts are in reference to people who have been violated in some way. They need not just suck it up and move on while the violators continue. Sometimes, it ends up that way, but in matters of sexual assault in Canada only 3/100 ever get convictions of some sort I think and a vast majority are never reported.
